To celebrate 140 years of history, Breitling is opening an unprecedented exhibition of eight vintage Swiss made Breitling replica watches in São Paulo at Shopping Cidade Jardim.
Titled Time Capsule: The Breitling Heritage Exhibition, the show was first presented in May and will tour a total of 55 countries in the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Oceania until December 2024.
The traveling exhibition brings together some of the most significant models from the Swiss luxury brand’s past, highlighting pieces from Brazilian collectors — 1:1 US Breitling fake watches loaned especially for the occasion or reacquired by Breitling to replenish the brand’s historical collection.
The brand is responsible for having launched the modern chronograph, created the first pilot’s replica Breitling watches for sale with a circular slide rule and sent the first Swiss wristwatch into space.
Models in the exhibition
Among the items that are part of the exhibition are creations from the 1960s and tools from athletes and aviators:
Sprint (1967): one of the standout models, known for its “Zorro dial”. The design featured two opposing triangular shapes that were reminiscent of the famous mask of the legendary vigilante created by American Johnston McCulley.
Chrono-Matic (1969): Another important model from this period, this high quality Breitling copy watches represents a major milestone in the history of watchmaking. In the race to create the first automatic chronograph, Breitling collaborated with other leading watchmakers on a top-secret project called “Project 99”.
Navitimer (1967): A watch originally introduced for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). It quickly became a favorite among pilots during the golden age of civil aviation. It was considered a tool to guide aviators on some of their most challenging flights.
Sprint (1972): With its lightweight resin case, this luxury China Breitling fake watches was designed for athletes. The heart rate scale on the bezel reflects its purpose of helping runners monitor their heart rates during training or competitions.
Football Referee (1973): A unique piece in the exhibition, this top super clone Breitling watches was one of the last models designed by Willy Breitling, grandson of the brand’s founder. It was created specifically for football referees and featured a central “paddle” minute chronograph hand and a red 45-minute dial to track elapsed game time. The activity indicator at 6 o’clock made it easy for referees to know whether the timekeeping was active, paused or off.
Navitimer Patrouille Suisse (1993): Created in homage to the Swiss air squadron. This model is based on the old stainless steel cheap US replica Breitling Navitimer watches and features the squadron’s logo on the dial and caseback. Limited to just 1,000 pieces.
Traveling
Open to the public, the exhibition will be open to the public from October 17 to 30 on the first floor of Shopping Cidade Jardim, with an installation that will include the Breitling boutique and a pop-up right across the street.
